Who it's for?
Toronto Poker Academy is built for anyone who wants to understand poker beyond luck.
Whether you’ve never played before or you’ve been grinding $1/$3 games for years, our sessions are designed to help you:
• Learn real strategy and structure from the ground up
• Break bad habits that cost you money
• Build confidence in live games
• Develop the mindset to think clearly under pressure
Why Choose TPA?
Toronto Poker Academy is the only in-person poker education program of its kind in the city — a place where real players teach real strategy. Our coaches are active professionals who consistently beat the very games you’re trying to master, bringing proven, experience-based insight to every lesson.
What makes us different is our focus on community. We believe poker is best learned together, in a collaborative environment that encourages questions, discussion, and shared growth. You’ll train alongside like-minded players who are serious about improving, and you’ll leave each session sharper, more confident, and part of a supportive network that grows with you.
How it Works?
Each session runs for four hours and combines focused coaching with live, hands-on play. The first two hours are dedicated to structured instruction where our coaches break down real strategies, answer questions, and tailor the lesson to your experience level. Sessions can focus on either cash game or tournament play — depending on what you want to master.
After coaching, we move into two hours of live poker on a professional table with a dealer, giving you the chance to immediately apply what you’ve learned. Tournament sessions feature friendly prizes, while cash game sessions run at low, comfortable stakes designed for learning, not pressure.
We also make sure the environment feels as good as it plays — food and drinks are provided, and class sizes are capped at nine players to ensure personal attention and a great atmosphere.
There’s no commitment required — just book a seat, show up ready to learn, and play your best. Each session is $120, and spots fill up fast.
